Eh..., June 16, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ASUS P8H77-V LE - New H77 Motherboard H77 ATX DDR3 1600 Intel - LGA 1155 Motherboard (Personal Computers) On paper, this is a very good mid-level motherboard. It has USB 3.0 which I love, and it has PCI EX 3.0 as well. However, I am having serious problems with trying to marry my very nice video card from my old setup to this cranky motherboard. The motherboard simply refuses to display video through my video card when it is inserted into the top PCI Express slot. But if I move it down to the bottom PCI Express slot, it works just fine. However, the downside of this for me is that is blocks some of the Sata ports, and there is very little air ventilation. I have already exchanged motherboards once, thinking that was the problem, but it did not help. I updated the BIOS and every driver imaginable and fiddled with BIOS settings, but it will not work.

We tested a P8H77-V and had no problems using either PCIe 2.0 slot. We used a Asus EAH 5750 for testing.
Can you let us know what video card you're using on the first PCIe slot and model/rating of the power supply?

I plan on adding a high end graphics card soon, so it's not the end of the world, but I expected better.

Please try going to BIOS, set iGPU Load-line Calibration to Auto, and set iGPU Current Capability to 100%. In addition, under System Agent Configuration > Graphics Configuration > Primary Display to Auto, try increasing the size of the iGPU Memory, set Render Standby to Disabled, and iGPU Multi-Monitor to Disabled.
If you are experiencing driver crashing in Windows or BSOD, please let me know the specific error
